Systems Engineer
Lead the modernization of hybrid cloud and on‑prem IT systems for a drug discovery pipeline, shaping architecture, automating deployments, and ensuring high availability with Python, AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the hybrid cloud and on‑prem infrastructure supporting the drug discovery and development pipeline.
- Design and implement scalable, secure architecture using AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and enforce infrastructure as code best practices.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate scientific requirements into reliable, high‑performance systems.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot incidents, and drive continuous improvement of reliability and performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or DevOps roles in a regulated or high‑scale environment.
- Proficiency with Python scripting, Linux administration, and networking fundamentals.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services, Kubernetes clusters, and Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD tooling (Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) and automated testing.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work with scientists and engineers.
