Lead the migration from VMware to Red Hat OpenShift Virtualisation, managing the full lifecycle of virtual machines, optimizing performance, and ensuring reliable day‑to‑day operations in a container‑centric environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and oversee the migration of VMware workloads to Red Hat OpenShift Virtualisation.
- Manage and optimise virtual machine performance, capacity, and reliability on OpenShift.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and implement scalable, secure infrastructure solutions.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Provide technical guidance and support to operations teams during and after migration.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with VMware and Red Hat OpenShift Virtualisation environments.
- Strong background in Linux system administration and container orchestration.
- Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) and automation tools.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
