Systems Engineer
Senior Systems Administrator responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining critical parliamentary IT systems, ensuring high availability, security, and compliance across Windows, Linux, and virtualized environments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage the eParliament platform, ensuring seamless integration with existing legislative workflows.
- Administer Windows Server and Linux environments, including patching, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Maintain Active Directory, group policies, and user access controls to support secure authentication and authorization.
- Automate routine tasks using PowerShell scripts and monitor system health with integrated monitoring tools.
- Manage VMware virtual infrastructure and Azure cloud services, optimizing resource allocation and cost.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, provide technical guidance, and document system configurations.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise systems administration.
- Proven expertise in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and PowerShell.
- Experience with VMware virtualization and Azure cloud services.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, VCP, Azure Administrator) are an advantage.
