Systems Engineer
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of RACF security on z/OS platforms, ensuring robust access controls and compliance across enterprise mainframe environments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and administer RACF configurations to enforce stringent security policies on z/OS systems.
- Collaborate with application and security teams to integrate RACF controls with business applications and compliance frameworks.
- Perform regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and remediation of RACF-related issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation, scripts, and automation tools for RACF management.
- Provide expert guidance and support during incident response and forensic investigations.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with RACF and z/OS security administration.
- Strong understanding of mainframe operating systems, batch processing, and security best practices.
- Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Perl, or Python) for automation and reporting.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., IBM Certified System Administrator – z/OS Security) are a plus.
