Systems Engineer
Senior System Engineer providing enterprise-level Windows/Linux infrastructure, network services, and automation for DoD installations, focusing on BITI wired and wireless environments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain Windows and Linux server platforms supporting mission‑critical applications.
- Manage core network services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP routing for wired and wireless BITI infrastructure.
- Implement and troubleshoot security controls, firewalls, and VPNs to meet DoD compliance requirements.
- Automate routine tasks and system configurations using PowerShell and other scripting tools.
- Coordinate with Air Force, Air National Guard, and Reserve IT teams to ensure high availability and performance of enterprise services.
Requirements
- 12+ years of technical network/system experience, with at least 5 years supporting DoD environments (or equivalent education and 15 years experience).
- Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux administration, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization technologies.
- Strong scripting skills, preferably PowerShell, for automation and configuration management.
- Experience with secure network design, firewall management, and compliance with DoD security standards.
- Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.
