Lead the development and execution of AI strategy for the government’s i.AI incubator, shaping policy, coordinating cross‑departmental projects, and driving data‑focused initiatives using cloud and analytics technologies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement a national AI strategy for the i.AI incubator, aligning with broader digital transformation goals.
- Develop policy frameworks, guidelines, and ethical standards for AI research, deployment, and public sector use.
- Lead cross‑functional projects, managing timelines, budgets, and deliverables across multiple government departments and external partners.
- Analyse emerging AI trends, data sets, and technology landscapes to inform strategic decisions and investment priorities.
- Engage senior stakeholders, including ministers, civil servants, academia, and industry, to build consensus and secure support for AI initiatives.
- Oversee risk assessment, governance, and compliance activities related to AI systems and data handling.
Requirements
- Proven experience in AI strategy, policy development, or technology governance within the public sector or a large‑scale organization.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, research findings, and emerging technology trends.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of influencing senior decision‑makers.
- Project management expertise, preferably with formal certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and data analytics tools used in AI development.
