About the Role
Epic Games is looking for a Senior Staff Technical Program Manager to join our team in Bellevue, WA. In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of strategic programs that define and deliver a growing, healthy, and safe Fortnite ecosystem. As a Senior Staff TPM, you will be instrumental in fostering effective collaboration between product, engineering, and other development teams within Fortnite and across Epic to deliver high-quality outcomes for our players and creators.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of large, complex, cross-functional programs within the Fortnite ecosystem, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timely delivery.
- Define program scope, objectives, and success metrics, working closely with product managers, engineering leads, and other stakeholders.
- Drive the creation and maintenance of program roadmaps, schedules, and resource plans.
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolve dependencies, and proactively address impediments to program progress.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across multiple teams and disciplines, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
- Implement and improve program management processes, tools, and best practices to enhance efficiency and predictability.
- Mentor and guide other program managers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Provide regular, transparent updates on program status, risks, and achievements to executive leadership and other key stakeholders.
- Champion a data-driven approach to decision-making and continuous iteration.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in technical program management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams across various disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience working on large-scale consumer-facing products, ideally within the gaming or entertainment industry.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
