About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead concept design, detailed engineering, and validation of gearboxes and drivetrains for humanoid robots.
- Perform finite element analysis and other simulation studies to optimize gear performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to translate designs into manufacturable, cost‑effective components.
- Drive continuous improvement of design processes, tooling, and quality metrics across the gear lifecycle.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across design, analysis, and production phases.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in gear train design and analysis for high‑performance robotic applications.
- Proficiency with CAD tools and finite element analysis software.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality assurance for robotic components.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑moving environment.
