Devops Engineer
Lead the design, implementation, and automation of scalable cloud infrastructure for a high‑throughput bioinformatics platform, leveraging AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain highly available, secure AWS environments supporting large‑scale genomic data processing.
- Design and operate Kubernetes clusters, ensuring optimal performance, autoscaling, and cost efficiency.
- Develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, promoting reproducibility and version control.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, or similar) to automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) to ensure system reliability and rapid incident response.
- Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to integrate AI/ML pipelines and support containerized workloads.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands‑on DevOps experience in cloud‑native environments, preferably in life sciences or high‑performance computing.
- Deep expertise with AWS services (EKS, S3, RDS, IAM) and container orchestration using Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code.
- Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation and tooling.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, monitoring stacks, and security best practices in regulated environments.
