About the Role
ASM is looking for a talented Senior Specialist I, Technical Training to join their team in Phoenix, Arizona. This role involves presenting technical training on ASM semiconductor equipment, managing classroom activities, maintaining product knowledge, and supporting the development and revision of training materials.
Responsibilities
- Presents technical training in-house on ASM semiconductor equipment, with a focus on specialized/customized courses. Travel opportunities may be offered but are not required.
- Manages classroom/lab activities to ensure fulfillment of course objectives; presents and practices safety per procedure.
- Maintains product technical knowledge sufficient to prepare and present defined product courses.
- Assists Course Developers in maximizing technical training documentation efficiencies; creates and augments documentation to fill gaps in released materials; evaluates students/colleagues with less experience performance.
- Provides technical expertise and troubleshooting skills to assist with system repairs; ensures system functionality can support course objectives; ensures all safety retrofits are installed on the training systems.
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the Global Training Center (GTC) organization and its operations.
- Provides feedback to determine future training opportunities and assists in presenting total training solutions for customer needs.
- Supports Course Developers in the generation of training materials for new and revised courses.
- Revises day-to-day curriculum plans as needed to support new technology from system upgrades and/or procedures.
- Updates GTC training tracking system and Learning Management System.
- Communicates with Business Units (BUs) to obtain current product information for course updates; represents GTC at divisional meetings.
Qualifications
- Technical Degree, BS strongly preferred, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
- 5+ years of experience in the Semiconductor industry.
- Military training experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and troubleshoot schematics.
- Requires workmanship skills.
- Strong electrical and mechanical systems skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to safely follow, validate, and redline operation and maintenance procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
