Senior Solutions Engineer driving design and implementation of Google Cloud and Maps Platform solutions, integrating GIS data, building APIs, and delivering scalable cloud architectures for enterprise and government clients.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement end‑to‑end solutions on Google Cloud Platform that leverage Maps Platform APIs and GIS data for diverse industry and government customers.
- Develop custom integrations, data pipelines, and automation scripts using Python and RESTful services to ingest, process, and visualize spatial data.
- Collaborate with sales, product, and engineering teams to translate customer requirements into technical architectures and proof‑of‑concept deployments.
- Provide technical leadership during pre‑sales engagements, including solution demos, technical workshops, and responding to RFPs.
- Mentor junior engineers, establish best practices for cloud security, scalability, and performance in geospatial applications.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing and delivering solutions on Google Cloud Platform, with strong knowledge of Compute, Storage, BigQuery, and IAM.
- Proficiency in Maps Platform APIs (Maps, Routes, Places) and GIS concepts such as coordinate systems, spatial analysis, and data formats.
- Advanced programming skills in Python; experience building RESTful APIs and automating cloud workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to architect scalable, secure cloud solutions and communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geography, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect) are a plus.
