Software Engineer

Lead the design and delivery of scalable cloud-native services using Python and Java on AWS, driving continuous integration and deployment pipelines to accelerate sustainable climate solutions.

About the role

Key Responsibilities

Architect, develop, and maintain high‑performance microservices in Python and Java, ensuring scalability and reliability on AWS.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define product requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver robust solutions.
Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline to automate testing, building, and deployment.
Apply best practices in code quality, security, and performance optimization, conducting code reviews and mentoring junior engineers.
Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, leveraging AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, and other observability tools to maintain uptime and performance.

Requirements

5+ years of professional software development experience with strong proficiency in Python and Java.
Hands‑on experience designing and deploying microservices on AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS).
Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with modern automation tools.
Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
Excellent communication skills and a passion for building sustainable, high‑impact technology solutions.
