Senior Software Engineer - Steering Systems Test - General Motors (GM)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional steering domain communications and coordinate testing efforts across engineering teams.
• Design, develop, and execute functional test plans for braking, steering, damping, and vehicle leveling features.
• Validate software‑defined vehicle architecture components and ensure compliance with performance and safety standards.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams to drive resolution.
• Document test procedures, results, and lessons learned to support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in software testing within vehicle dynamics or chassis control domains.
• Strong knowledge of steering systems, braking, damping, and vehicle leveling technologies.
• Proficiency in test automation tools and scripting languages relevant to automotive testing.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams.
• Familiarity with software‑defined vehicle architecture and related development processes.
