Senior Software Engineer responsible for designing, building, and scaling a high‑impact e‑commerce platform using Java, microservices, and cloud technologies such as AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable microservices that power the core e‑commerce platform.
- Own the full software lifecycle from architecture and coding through testing, deployment, and production monitoring.
- Collaborate with engineering managers, staff engineers, and cross‑functional teams to define technical direction and ensure high‑quality delivery.
- Drive adoption of cloud best practices on AWS, including infrastructure as code, container orchestration, and automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and champion best practices for performance, security, and reliability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, primarily with Java.
- Strong expertise in building and operating microservices architectures.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling.
- Proven ability to work in fast‑moving, cross‑functional teams and navigate large, evolving codebases.
- Curiosity for modern development practices, including AI‑assisted tools and automated testing.
