ABOUT THIS ROLE
As a Senior Backend Software Engineer at LVT, you will be a key driver in building scalable, production-grade microservices and APIs that power our intelligent site platform. Working as an individual contributor alongside a dedicated software engineering team, you will design, code, and deploy high-performance backend systems while upholding strict software craftsmanship standards. Success in this role means consistently shipping resilient product features, optimizing critical backend infrastructure, and mentoring fellow engineers through thoughtful code reviews and technical collaboration.
This role is onsite based out of our American Fork, UT headquarters.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Design & Ship Backend Services: Architect, implement, and maintain high-velocity backend features and API endpoints using Node.js and TypeScript.
Ensure High System Performance: Optimize backend system architecture, API latency, and database query performance to support expanding platform scale.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with Product Management, QA, and DevOps to translate feature requirements into clear technical specifications, accurate estimations, and timely releases.
Elevate Code Quality: Champion engineering best practices by driving rigorous unit testing, conducting constructive code reviews, and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation.
