Lead the design and implementation of resilient, event‑driven microservices that orchestrate payment workflows across IBM Sterling and downstream processors, leveraging Google Cloud, Kubernetes, and hybrid on‑prem platforms.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain highly available microservices that manage the full money lifecycle for omni‑channel orders.
- Integrate IBM Sterling with payment processors and tender systems using event‑driven patterns.
- Ensure accurate payment state management, fraud hold handling, and reverse authorizations across hybrid GKE and PCF/Cloud Foundry environments.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define API contracts, data models, and deployment pipelines.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and automated testing to guarantee reliability and performance at high transaction volumes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in payment or financial services.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Python for backend development.
- Hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, and Cloud Foundry.
- Deep understanding of event‑driven architecture and microservices best practices.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a passion for building scalable, secure systems.
