Software Engineer
Senior Software Engineer driving the next generation of healthcare solutions, building scalable services on AWS using Java, Python, and PostgreSQL while delivering robust RESTful APIs for a large medical imaging network.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend services for imaging workflows using Java and Python.
- Architect and implement cloud‑native solutions on AWS, ensuring scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
- Build and optimize PostgreSQL data models and queries to support large‑scale clinical data processing.
- Develop and document RESTful APIs that integrate with internal systems and external partners.
- Collaborate with product, QA, and operations teams to deliver features on an agile schedule.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in healthcare or a regulated industry.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Python, with a solid understanding of object‑oriented design.
- Hands‑on experience deploying and managing services on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
- Deep knowledge of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL, including schema design and performance tuning.
- Proven ability to design, implement, and consume RESTful APIs, and to work effectively in cross‑functional agile teams.
