Senior Software Engineer - Global Regulatory Reporting - Wells Fargo

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑throughput services that process regulatory data across capital markets and compliance domains.
• Implement micro‑service architectures on AWS, ensuring scalability, resilience, and low latency for critical reporting pipelines.
• Collaborate with traders, risk analysts, and compliance experts to translate complex business rules into robust software components.
• Lead code reviews, enforce engineering best practices, and mentor junior engineers to elevate overall code quality.
• Optimize data storage and retrieval using SQL databases and in‑memory caching to meet stringent reporting deadlines.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java and/or C++ development, with strong object‑oriented design skills.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting, data transformation, and automation tasks.
• Hands‑on experience building and deploying micro‑services on AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.).
• Solid understanding of relational databases, SQL query optimization, and data modeling for large‑scale reporting workloads.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally with business stakeholders to deliver regulatory‑focused solutions in a fast‑paced environment.
