What You'll Do

Epic Games is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team that supports the game teams by providing tools, services, and expertise for game-agnostic gameplay systems on Unreal Engine 5. If you love working on cross-cutting systems that improve the gameplay experience of multiple games, then you'll love this opportunity!

In This Role You Will

• Design, implement, and maintain gameplay systems across various games using Unreal Engine 5
• Collaborate with multiple game teams to understand their needs and provide efficient, scalable solutions
• Optimize and debug existing gameplay systems for performance and stability
• Participate in code reviews, share knowledge, and mentor other engineers
• Contribute to the overall architecture and technical direction of gameplay systems

What We're Looking For

• Strong proficiency in C++ with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming
• Extensive experience with Unreal Engine 5, specifically in gameplay systems development
• Solid understanding of multiplayer networking and its implications on gameplay systems
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement complex software systems
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and optimization skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and communicate complex technical concepts clearly
• Prior experience shipping multiple games or working on live service titles is a plus
