About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the technical roadmap for the trade surveillance platform, ensuring alignment with business, compliance, and enterprise architecture goals.
- Lead the migration from a Q/KDB‑based stack to a scalable Python/PySpark cloud‑native architecture, overseeing design, implementation, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architects, Compliance, and Quantitative teams to translate regulatory requirements into robust, maintainable solutions.
- Architect scenario and alert development pipelines, ensuring real‑time processing, data integrity, and auditability.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering best practices in code quality, testing, and DevOps.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on architecture and design.
- Proven expertise in Python, PySpark, and cloud‑native deployment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Deep knowledge of trade surveillance concepts, regulatory compliance, and data modeling.
- Experience with KDB/Q and migration strategies to modern data platforms.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
