Senior Simulation Software Engineer - The Boeing Company

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain real‑time simulation applications for aerospace training systems using C++ and Python.
• Architect and implement object‑oriented designs that meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including subject matter experts, UI/UX designers, and hardware engineers—to integrate simulation components.
• Apply Agile methodologies, conduct code reviews, and ensure compliance with software quality standards.
• Debug, profile, and optimize code for low‑latency execution on Linux‑based environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in C++ (C++11/14/17) and Python for scientific and simulation workloads.
• Strong knowledge of Linux development, real‑time systems, and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with object‑oriented design, version control (Git), and continuous integration pipelines.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative, Agile team environment.
