Software Engineer
Lead the design, development, and administration of ServiceNow solutions for a federal agency, driving ITSM excellence through advanced scripting, integrations, and workflow automation.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain ServiceNow applications, modules, and customizations to support agency-wide ITSM processes.
- Write and optimize JavaScript, GlideScript, and Flow Designer scripts for automation and integration with external systems.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into functional designs, ensuring alignment with ITIL best practices.
- Perform system administration tasks: user provisioning, role management, security, and performance tuning.
- Lead troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives for ServiceNow instances.
Requirements
- 5+ years of ServiceNow administration and development experience in a federal or large enterprise environment.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, GlideScript, and ServiceNow Flow Designer.
- Hands‑on experience with ServiceNow integrations (REST, SOAP, JDBC) and data migration.
- Deep understanding of ITIL processes and ITSM best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
