Senior Security Platform Engineer leading design, configuration standards, and governance for proxy, endpoint and email threat prevention platforms, using Python, AWS, Kubernetes and Terraform to automate and harden the data and edge security stack.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and enforce configuration standards and security policies across proxy, endpoint and email threat prevention platforms.
- Architect, build, and automate security platform components using Python, Terraform and Kubernetes on AWS.
- Drive governance processes, conduct regular compliance reviews, and provide remediation guidance to engineering teams.
- Collaborate with product, network and incident response teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
- Mentor junior engineers and champion security‑by‑design practices across the organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience designing, implementing and operating security platforms (proxy, endpoint, email threat prevention).
- Strong programming/scripting skills in Python and infrastructure‑as‑code expertise with Terraform.
- Deep knowledge of cloud security on AWS, including IAM, VPC, and security groups.
- Experience containerising security services with Kubernetes and integrating them into automated CI/CD workflows.
- Proven ability to develop and enforce security standards, perform risk assessments, and communicate technical concepts to cross‑functional stakeholders.
