About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls for a distributed network of phased‑array ground stations and associated cloud services.
- Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and penetration testing to identify and remediate vulnerabilities in space‑communication infrastructure.
- Develop and enforce security policies, incident response plans, and compliance frameworks aligned with national security and industry standards.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and operations teams to integrate security into the DevSecOps pipeline and automate security testing.
- Lead security audits, provide guidance on secure coding practices, and mentor junior engineers on emerging security technologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering, preferably in aerospace or satellite communications.
- Deep knowledge of network security, cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP), encryption protocols, and secure software development life cycle.
- Hands‑on experience with threat modeling, vulnerability assessment tools, and incident response orchestration.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills with a proactive, collaborative mindset.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
