About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain WAF and CDN policies to protect a global e‑commerce and API platform handling millions of daily requests.
- Develop and operate detection, alerting, and response workflows across perimeter security layers, ensuring rapid containment of threats.
- Build automation scripts and playbooks (primarily in Python) to streamline incident response, tuning, and reliability tasks.
- Lead the creation of AI‑enabled security agents and guardrails that extend analyst capacity and improve decision‑making speed.
- Collaborate with networking, cloud, and development teams to integrate security controls without impacting performance or availability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience with WAF, CDN, and perimeter security technologies in a large‑scale, high‑traffic environment.
- Strong background in incident response, threat detection, and security automation using scripting languages such as Python.
- Proven ability to design and implement AI/ML‑based security solutions that augment analyst workflows.
- Deep understanding of cloud networking concepts (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and experience integrating security controls at the network edge.
