Security Engineer
Lead security initiatives for a large-scale cloud infrastructure, designing threat models, automating defenses, and ensuring compliance across multi‑region deployments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement security controls for a global cloud infrastructure, ensuring resilience against advanced threats.
- Develop and maintain automated security tooling, including vulnerability scanning, configuration drift detection, and incident response playbooks.
- Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams to embed security best practices into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
- Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and penetration testing to identify and remediate critical vulnerabilities.
- Lead incident response efforts, coordinating cross‑functional teams to investigate, contain, and recover from security events.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering, with a focus on infrastructure and cloud environments.
- Deep knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP security services and architecture.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and automation frameworks (Terraform, Ansible).
- Strong understanding of network security, identity & access management, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders across technical and non‑technical teams.
