Senior Security Engineer, Cloud Red Team, Cloud CISO - Google

Key Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and lead cloud‑centric red‑team engagements, identifying and exploiting security gaps in production environments.
• Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and exploit development to validate controls and harden cloud architectures.
• Collaborate with security, engineering, and product teams to remediate findings, develop mitigation strategies, and embed secure design principles.
• Develop and maintain advanced tooling, frameworks, and playbooks for automated threat modeling and continuous security validation.
• Mentor junior security staff, share best practices, and contribute to the organization’s security posture and incident response readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in security engineering, research, or DevSecOps.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in technical security roles, including vulnerability exploitation and ethical hacking.
• 3+ years of offensive security experience in cloud environments, with a proven track record of red‑team operations and vulnerability research.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and associated security services.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex findings into actionable recommendations.
