Senior Security Analyst - MUNICIPAL PROPERTY ASSESSMENT CORPORATION

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls for cloud environments, primarily AWS.
• Develop and tune SIEM rules and analytics to monitor large‑scale data streams for suspicious activity.
• Lead incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, and post‑mortem reporting.
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses on big‑data platforms and associated pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineering and data teams to embed security best practices into CI/CD pipelines and data processing workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in information security, with a focus on cloud security and big‑data environments.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS security services (IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub, KMS) and SIEM platforms.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for security tooling and data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of incident response frameworks, threat hunting, and vulnerability management.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or equivalent.
