Software Engineer
Lead the design, automation, and bioinformatic analysis of large‑scale siRNA screening projects, developing robust pipelines and QC frameworks to deliver high‑quality molecular data for drug discovery.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated workflows for high‑throughput siRNA screening, integrating liquid‑handling robotics and data capture systems.
- Develop and maintain bioinformatics pipelines (Python, R) for processing, QC, and downstream analysis of screening datasets.
- Collaborate with assay development and molecular biology teams to define assay metrics, troubleshoot performance issues, and optimize screening protocols.
- Apply statistical and machine‑learning methods to identify hit candidates, assess assay robustness, and generate actionable insights.
- Document SOPs, generate reports, and present findings to cross‑functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or equivalent experience in molecular biology, bioinformatics, or a related field with a focus on RNAi/siRNA technologies.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in high‑throughput screening automation and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Python and R for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and pipeline development.
- Strong understanding of assay quality control metrics, data normalization, and hit‑calling strategies.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, interdisciplinary environment.
