Implementation Engineer
Senior engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SAP integration solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform, leveraging CPI, ABAP, Java, and API/OData services.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement end‑to‑end integration scenarios on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) and SAP API Management.
- Develop, extend, and maintain ABAP‑based interfaces and custom adapters to connect SAP ECC/S/4HANA with cloud services.
- Build, secure, and document RESTful APIs and OData services for internal and external consumption.
- Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployment and monitoring in cloud environments.
- Perform performance tuning, error handling, and troubleshooting of integration flows, providing root‑cause analysis and remediation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in SAP integration, with deep knowledge of SAP BTP, CPI, and API Management.
- Strong ABAP programming skills and experience with Java‑based integration components.
- Proven ability to design and expose OData/REST APIs, including security (OAuth, SAML) and versioning.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools (e.g., SAP Cloud Foundry, Git, Jenkins).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a hybrid, agile team environment.
