Lead the design, integration, and optimization of advanced robotic welding cells, programming FANUC robots, configuring PLCs, and deploying vision‑guided welding solutions for high‑mix, high‑volume manufacturing environments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end integration, commissioning, and performance tuning of robotic welding automation cells.
- Program, debug, and maintain FANUC industrial robots using RAPID and related scripting languages.
- Integrate PLCs, safety systems, and vision sensors to achieve precise weld placement and quality control.
- Collaborate with sales and applications engineering teams to translate customer requirements into robust automation solutions.
- Provide on‑site technical support, training, and troubleshooting for customers during deployment and after hand‑over.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience integrating and commissioning robotic welding systems, preferably with FANUC platforms.
- Proficiency in robot programming (RAPID), PLC programming (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent), and scripting languages such as Python.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, welding automation packages (e.g., TouchSense), and vision‑guided welding technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to work directly with customers, manage project timelines, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
