Design and implement intelligent, fully automated laboratory workflows using robotics, ROS, and vision systems to accelerate life‑science research for global biopharma customers.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate robotic platforms and automated workcells for high‑throughput laboratory processes.
- Implement control software using ROS, Python, and C++ to orchestrate end‑to‑end workflows.
- Develop and program PLCs and motion controllers for precise instrument handling.
- Integrate machine‑vision and sensor systems for sample tracking, quality inspection, and adaptive control.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional scientists and engineers to translate experimental protocols into reproducible automated solutions.
- Validate system performance, generate documentation, and support technology transfer to manufacturing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Robotics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of hands‑on experience in lab automation.
- Proficiency in ROS, Python, and C++ for real‑time robot control and workflow orchestration.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming, motion control, and industrial robot safety standards.
- Experience integrating machine‑vision, sensors, and custom hardware into automated laboratory setups.
- Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and deliver robust, scalable automation solutions.
