Data Analyst
Senior Risk & Data Analyst driving data‑powered loss control, underwriting, pricing and portfolio management for vehicle service contracts and ancillary products using Python, SQL, statistical modeling and visualization tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain risk models to support underwriting, pricing, and portfolio management for vehicle service contracts, GAP, and ancillary products.
- Analyze large datasets using Python, SQL and statistical techniques to identify loss trends, fraud patterns, and improvement opportunities.
- Create interactive dashboards and visual reports in Tableau to communicate insights to underwriting, finance and senior leadership.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into analytical solutions and data pipelines.
- Implement machine‑learning prototypes to enhance predictive accuracy and automate risk assessments.
- Monitor model performance, conduct back‑testing, and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal risk standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Data Science, Economics or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in risk analytics, actuarial modeling, or data‑driven insurance functions.
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit‑learn), SQL, and data‑visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong statistical and quantitative modeling skills, including regression, time‑series, and machine‑learning techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
