Senior RF Hardware Engineer - STR
Embedded Systems Engineer
Lead the design, validation, and production of high‑performance RF hardware for defense systems, leveraging advanced EM simulation, PCB layout, and rigorous testing to meet stringent reliability and cost targets.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop RF front‑end components, including antennas, filters, and power amplifiers, ensuring compliance with mission‑critical performance and environmental requirements.
- Perform EM and signal‑integrity analysis using tools such as HFSS, ADS, and CST to optimize layout and mitigate interference.
- Lead prototype fabrication, board assembly, and rigorous RF testing (VNA, spectrum analyzers, time‑domain reflectometers) to validate design specifications.
- Collaborate with systems, software, and manufacturing teams to integrate RF hardware into larger defense platforms, addressing trade‑offs in cost, size, and reliability.
- Document design decisions, test results, and compliance reports, maintaining traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in RF hardware design for defense or aerospace applications.
- Proficiency with PCB design tools (Altium, Cadence) and EM simulation suites (HFSS, ADS).
- Strong knowledge of RF test equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzer, TDR) and data analysis.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross‑functional teams under tight schedules.
