About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and prototype photonic interconnects and accelerator architectures that address bandwidth, latency, and energy bottlenecks in large‑scale AI systems.
- Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams to integrate novel hardware concepts into end‑to‑end AI pipelines.
- Develop analytical models and simulation tools to evaluate performance, power, and scalability of proposed designs.
- Publish research findings in top conferences and journals, and contribute to open‑source hardware toolchains.
- Mentor junior researchers and guide experimental validation efforts.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or related field.
- Deep expertise in hardware design, system architecture, and performance modeling for AI workloads.
- Experience with photonic or optical interconnect technologies and accelerator design.
- Strong programming skills in C++/Python for simulation and prototyping.
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of high‑impact publications.
