About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance C++ pipelines for processing large-scale genomic and epidemiological datasets.
- Apply causal inference methods to identify drivers of disease transmission and evaluate intervention strategies.
- Develop statistical models and visualizations to communicate findings to multidisciplinary teams.
- Collaborate with bioinformaticians, epidemiologists, and software engineers to integrate analytical workflows into research projects.
- Document methodologies, maintain reproducible codebases, and contribute to open-source bioinformatics tools.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (PhD or Master’s) in Bioinformatics, Statistics, Epidemiology, or related field.
- Proven experience in C++ programming for data-intensive applications.
- Strong background in causal inference, statistical modeling, and machine learning.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights.
- Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative research environments.
