Lead the design, testing, and optimization of quantum hardware systems, driving performance improvements through advanced measurement, control, and data analysis techniques.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, fabricate, and characterize quantum hardware components, including qubits, resonators, and control lines.
- Develop and implement cryogenic measurement setups, ensuring optimal thermal and electrical performance.
- Create and refine control electronics and firmware for precise qubit manipulation and readout.
- Analyze experimental data to extract device parameters, identify failure modes, and guide iterative design improvements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate hardware with software stacks and simulation tools.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Master’s in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field with strong background in quantum information science.
- Proven experience in quantum hardware characterization, including cryogenic measurement and control.
- Hands‑on expertise with superconducting or trapped‑ion qubit platforms and associated instrumentation.
- Strong programming skills (Python, C/C++) for data acquisition, analysis, and automation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
