QA Engineer
Senior QA Engineer leading end‑to‑end testing for legacy‑to‑GCP migration, validating data pipelines, APIs, and cloud workflows across BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL and Dataflow while ensuring security, compliance and data integrity.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead QA strategy for migration projects from on‑premise systems to Google Cloud Platform, covering data pipelines, APIs and cloud‑native services.
- Design, develop and maintain functional, data and regression test suites for multi‑layer (Bronze‑Silver‑Gold) ETL pipelines, guaranteeing 100% data completeness and schema accuracy.
- Validate GCP security controls, IAM policies, encryption, audit logging and service‑account configurations to meet governance and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, product and DevOps teams in an Agile environment to define test requirements, review user stories and provide rapid feedback.
- Automate test execution and reporting using appropriate frameworks and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring continuous quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of QA experience with a focus on data‑intensive applications and cloud migrations.
- Strong hands‑on expertise with Google Cloud services such as BigQuery, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Storage and Cloud SQL.
- Proven ability to design and implement comprehensive ETL testing strategies, including data validation, schema checks and transformation verification.
- Deep understanding of GCP security, IAM, encryption and audit‑logging mechanisms.
- Experience working in Agile teams, using test automation tools and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
