In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead and/or design authority for Process Automation engineering projects in Renewable, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Power Generation, Water treatment industries both in US and global projects, making technical recommendations and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing excellent service.
In this role, you will ensure successful Distributed Control System delivery of multiple projects on time, within budget, and in line with specifications and with quality and safety guidelines.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid (must by in Greater Houston Area) {#LI-Hybrid} This role is contributing to the Automation Energy Industries Division in the US. You will be mainly accountable for:
Working closely with customers to shape and deliver solutions, and utilizing feedback to drive delivery of improvements for medium complex projects
Cost-effectively executing Distributed Control System project deliverables on time in accordance with specifications, standards, and safety requirements
Resolving technical issues both remotely and at customer sites in US and abroad
Assisting Project Managers with claims, customer specifications and safety standards, as well as technical details, costs, and deliverables for sales proposals. Creating and delivering work plans, budgets, and risk assessments
Design, Test and Commission Automation Enclosures, Control Logic and Human Machine Interfaces with ABB or 3rd party Control System

5+ years of experience in engineering, working as an Engineer with ABB Distributed Control Systems
Sound knowledge of engineering techniques, processes, and tools
A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following workplace safety guidelines
A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and a desire to learn about new technologies
A collaborative approach to working, demonstrating strong communication and leadership skills
A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or other engineering degree
Candidates must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
Position will be based in Houston, TX
