Program Manager
Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of avionics and software for NASA's Space Launch System, driving schedule, risk, and stakeholder alignment while managing cross‑functional engineering teams.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define, execute, and control the integrated program plan for SLS avionics and software, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Coordinate cross‑functional engineering, test, and integration teams to align technical deliverables with mission requirements.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, implementing corrective actions and contingency plans.
- Maintain transparent communication with NASA, internal leadership, and external partners, providing status reports and performance metrics.
- Drive configuration management, change control, and quality assurance processes for critical software and hardware components.
Requirements
- 10+ years of program management experience in aerospace, defense, or high‑tech environments, with a focus on avionics or software systems.
- Proven ability to manage complex schedules, budgets, and risk registers for large‑scale, mission‑critical projects.
- Strong technical background in avionics architecture, embedded software development, and systems engineering.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior leadership and external customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree or PMP/SAFe certification preferred.
