Senior Product Support Engineer focused on modelling and simulation, driving technical support for aerospace systems using Python, C++, MATLAB, Simulink, CFD and FEA tools to resolve complex performance issues and enhance product reliability.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support for modelling and simulation products, diagnosing and resolving complex issues reported by customers and internal teams.
- Develop and maintain simulation models in MATLAB/Simulink, ensuring accuracy and performance across multiple aerospace applications.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, and product management to define requirements, validate solutions, and deliver actionable insights.
- Implement and optimize CFD and FEA workflows, leveraging high‑performance computing resources to accelerate analysis.
- Document troubleshooting procedures, create knowledge‑base articles, and conduct training sessions for end‑users and support staff.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Python and C++ with experience in scientific computing.
- Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink and familiar with CFD/FEA tools such as ANSYS or Abaqus.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a track record of delivering high‑quality technical support.
- Effective communication skills, able to translate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience in aerospace or defence environments is highly desirable.
