The Team

The current commodification of AI has huge potential benefits for content production. As such the brand new AI team we are building at VEED will be responsible for researching and developing features building upon these technologies. This is a new space for us too and our initial focus will be on the integration of existing systems rather than building our own AI models. However, this may change over time as the team grows. We are looking for someone who can bring plenty to the table, and grow the product and the team. To get you started, we have some ideas as well!

What you will do

As an AI Product Manager at VEED, you will play a critical role in driving the development and growth of our AI-powered video editing products and the team itself.

In this role, you will work closely with a cross-functional team to bring new and innovative products to our amazing users and the world. You will fully own the product strategy and roadmap and ensure that our products continue to meet the needs of our users and stay ahead of the competition.

As a leader of the small but mighty AI team, you'll need to keep the team moving fast and focused on success. You'll need to be able to balance speed and agility, ensuring that the team experiments, learns, and repeats quickly. Your prioritization skills will be key in helping the team reach its ambitious goals.

• Lead the building and development of our AI product and the team, taking full ownership of the product and its success.
• Stay ahead of the curve and be prepared for scaling both the product and the team. Keep a finger on the pulse of the team's needs and take the lead on hiring initiatives.
• Conduct in-depth market research and gather customer feedback to gain a thorough understanding of the video editing and creative tools market, and inform product strategy and roadmap.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the AI and video editing industries, and incorporate this knowledge into the product strategy and development process.
• Work in a cross-functional team and collaborate with talented engineering, design, monetization, acquisition, and content teams to deliver AI-powered products that meet the needs of both our users and the market.
• Define and prioritize features, manage the product backlog, and facilitate smooth product releases.
• Champion product quality, working closely with the engineers and QA team to ensure that the tools and their algorithms are delivering reliable and high-quality results.
• Analyze and interpret product data, using data-driven insights to continuously improve and optimize our products.

About You

• 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on AI-powered products.
• Understanding of AI technologies and how they can be applied to video editing and general creative tools.
• Excellent strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into simple and actionable plans.
• Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and leading product development from concept to launch.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Passion for video editing, creative tools, and generative AI, and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
