About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate comprehensive hazard analysis and risk assessment activities across multiple process units.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust Safety Management Systems and Process Safety Management (PSM) programs.
- Conduct root cause investigations for incidents and near‑misses, delivering actionable recommendations.
- Perform safety audits and regulatory compliance reviews, ensuring alignment with local and international standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed safety culture and continuous improvement practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Safety, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in process safety within the mining or heavy industry sector.
- Strong knowledge of hazard analysis techniques (HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA) and safety management frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in safety software tools and data analysis for risk quantification.
