About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and engineering of process equipment for a 320 MLD wastewater treatment facility, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop detailed construction drawings, specifications, and installation schedules.
- Oversee procurement, fabrication, and installation of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and local regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments, design reviews, and quality assurance activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support commissioning, start‑up, and handover activities, providing technical guidance to operations staff.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering for wastewater treatment or related water infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and process design.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder communication.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (EPA, local health and safety codes) and experience with environmental permitting.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative team‑oriented mindset.
