About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and optimize downstream purification unit operations (Refold, Clarification/Depth Filtration, IEX, HIC chromatography, TFF/crossflow) for biologic products.
- Develop scalable, high‑yield, high‑purity processes from early to late‑stage development.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with upstream, formulation, and analytical teams to integrate process improvements.
- Lead troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and process validation to meet regulatory and quality standards.
- Document process changes, generate SOPs, and support technology transfer to manufacturing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Bioprocessing, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in downstream purification of biologics, with proven expertise in chromatography and TFF.
- Strong understanding of PEGylation chemistry and formulation strategies.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with scale‑up and technology transfer to commercial manufacturing is a plus.
