QA Engineer
Senior Principal Test Engineer responsible for planning, executing, and documenting developmental and operational testing of advanced tactical command and control systems, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and procedures for developmental (DT) and operational testing (OT) of tactical C2 systems.
- Coordinate with customer, program office, and subcontractors to schedule test events, allocate resources, and ensure compliance with test objectives.
- Execute test events, collect and analyze data, and produce detailed test reports, findings, and recommendations.
- Implement and maintain test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Python scripts, LabVIEW, or similar) to improve test efficiency and repeatability.
- Manage requirements traceability using tools such as DOORS or Jama, ensuring test coverage aligns with system specifications.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior test engineers and support knowledge transfer across the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 10+ years of test engineering experience in defense or aerospace.
- Proven experience planning and conducting DT and OT for command‑and‑control or similar mission‑critical systems.
- Strong knowledge of test automation, data acquisition, and analysis tools; proficiency in Python or comparable scripting language.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to work on‑site with customers and travel up to 20%.
- Familiarity with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama) and documentation standards for defense testing.
