Systems Engineer
Lead complex space ISR systems as a Senior Principal Systems Engineer, driving requirements development, architecture refinement, and system integration using Python scripting and model‑based engineering techniques.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed system requirements and traceability matrices for space‑based ISR missions.
- Define and refine system architecture, ensuring scalability, survivability, and performance against mission objectives.
- Perform systems engineering analyses, including trade studies, risk assessments, and performance modeling.
- Create and maintain interface control documents (ICDs) and coordinate cross‑disciplinary integration.
- Develop automation scripts (Python) to support configuration management, test execution, and data analysis.
- Collaborate with program managers, software/hardware leads, and government stakeholders to align technical solutions with acquisition milestones.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with eligibility for re‑investigation.
- 10+ years of systems engineering experience on space or defense programs, preferably in ISR.
- Proficiency in requirements development, architecture design, and model‑based systems engineering tools (e.g., SysML, MagicDraw).
- Strong scripting skills in Python for automation and data processing.
- Demonstrated ability to produce and manage interface control documents and lead cross‑functional technical reviews.
