Systems Engineer
Lead the design and validation of advanced signal and sensor models for defense systems, applying C++, MATLAB, and model‑based engineering to deliver high‑fidelity simulations and performance analyses.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high‑fidelity signal and sensor models supporting next‑generation defense platforms.
- Integrate models into system‑level simulations and conduct performance verification against mission requirements.
- Lead cross‑functional teams in applying model‑based systems engineering (MBSE) practices to ensure traceability and reuse.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and test engineers to translate sensor specifications into executable models.
- Provide technical mentorship, code reviews, and guidance on best practices for C++ and MATLAB development.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of experience in signal processing, sensor modeling, and systems engineering for aerospace or defense applications.
- Proficiency in C++ and MATLAB for algorithm development and model implementation.
- Demonstrated expertise with model‑based systems engineering tools and processes (e.g., SysML, Rhapsody, or similar).
- Active, transferable DoD Secret clearance (or ability to obtain interim clearance) and U.S. citizenship.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills to drive complex technical projects.
