About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain system architecture for advanced avionics control systems, ensuring alignment with mission requirements and industry standards.
- Lead requirements engineering, translating customer needs into detailed hardware and software specifications.
- Coordinate system‑level integration and test activities, troubleshooting performance issues and ensuring compliance with safety and reliability criteria.
- Provide technical guidance to cross‑functional teams, mentoring junior engineers and fostering best practices in systems engineering.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine design trade‑offs, schedule milestones, and cost estimates throughout the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in systems engineering for aerospace or defense avionics.
- Proven expertise in systems architecture, requirements management, and integration testing.
- Strong knowledge of hardware and software design principles, including real‑time operating systems and embedded platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Experience with industry standards such as DO‑178C, DO‑254, and ISO 26262 is highly desirable.
