Security Engineer
Lead the design, implementation, and operation of secure, automated cloud platforms using Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines, driving DevSecOps best practices across mission‑critical systems.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and build highly available, secure cloud platforms on AWS, leveraging Kubernetes and Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform) to support mission‑critical applications.
- Design, implement, and maintain end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines that integrate automated security testing, code analysis, and compliance checks.
- Develop and enforce DevSecOps standards, policies, and tooling to ensure continuous compliance with TS/SCI and other government security requirements.
- Collaborate with software, security, and operations teams to embed security controls early in the development lifecycle and drive remediation of vulnerabilities.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct technical reviews, and provide thought leadership on emerging cloud and security technologies.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, and DevSecOps, with a strong focus on AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Proficiency in scripting/automation using Python and experience building CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps) with integrated security scanning tools.
- Deep understanding of security frameworks, vulnerability management, and compliance for TS/SCI environments, including experience with security clearance processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi‑disciplinary projects and mentor technical teams.
- Active, transferable TS/SCI clearance with polygraph eligibility.
